The HomeKit team is seeking a Software Screener/Integrity Engineer to help build and advance the Home automation platform, focusing on improving the quality of HomeKit features and improvements for developers and users.
Requirements
- Experience debugging software issues and eager to automate common cases
- Experience in shell scripting (Python, Bash or similar) and system languages (C, C++ or similar)
- Strong technical aptitude and curiosity
- Experience in smart home space or distributed systems
Responsibilities
- triage incoming bugs
- understand and find your way through the source code
- analyze logs
- determine priority of issues
- automating this process as much as possible
- spot emerging issues from bug reports filed by Apple employees and external developers
- follow up with bug filers to collect additional information that can help the team debug
