Offstream is looking for a software engineer with UX design experience to help expand their web application focus into physical hardware and real-world infrastructure, aiming to rapidly grow the company and bolster the carbon removal market. The role will significantly impact the user-facing experience of the Offstream product.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of software engineering experience, preferably at early stage startups, working with React
- Some familiarity with the other parts of Offstream's tech stack - Typescript, Next.js, GraphQL, and postgresql
- Demonstrable design/UX experience either from a past career in design or product management, or a few years of front end focused software development
- Familiarity with design software tools like Figma
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the engineering team and other team members to understand product requirements and come up with effective technical solutions to build a great product for our customers
- Spend 20% of your time designing user flows, creating mockups, and evangelizing UX best practices across the engineering team and company
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning/retrospectives
- Mentor and share knowledge with other engineers as the team grows
