Offstream is looking for a talented software engineer with UX design experience to join their growing engineering team. The company is expanding into physical hardware and real-world infrastructure to meet its goals of rapidly growing the company while bolstering the growing carbon removal market. This role will have a great opportunity to make a massive impact on the user-facing experience of the Offstream product.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of software engineering experience, preferably at early-stage startups, working with React
- Some familiarity with the other parts of Offstream's tech stack - Typescript, Next.js, GraphQL, and postgresql
- Demonstrable design/UX experience either from a past career in design or product management, or a few years of front end focused software development
- Familiarity with design software tools like Figma
Responsibilities
- Spend 20% of your time designing user flows, creating mockups, and evangelizing UX best practices across the engineering team and company
- Collaborate with the engineering team and other team members to understand product requirements and come up with effective technical solutions to build a great product for our customers
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning/retrospectives
- Mentor and share knowledge with other engineers as the team grows
