Applied Materials is looking for a software engineer to develop C programs to manipulate and optimize large-scale GDS data of millions of polygons, develop algorithms for image processing to model and correct for substrate distortion, and define software specification and design data preparation software products.
Requirements
- 5+ years experiences in C/C++ programming languages.
- Familiarity with physical verification RUNSET development preferred.
- Familiarity with computational geometry problem solving preferred.
- Experience with ODB++, GDS or OASIS file format, and EDA SW is a big plus.
- Experience with OPC and mask data prep is a plus.
- Experience in semiconductor processing or manufacturing preferred.
- Experience in Linux Operating System preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop C programs to manipulate and optimize large-scale GDS data of millions of polygons.
- Develop algorithms for image processing to model and correct for substrate distortion
- Define software specification and design data preparation software products
- Create test suites to ensure the quality of the software
- Interface with QA and process engineers
Other
- Candidate should have an advanced degree in computer science, software Engineering, CAD, EDA, or a related field
