NBCUniversal is spinning off a new company, Versant, comprised of most of its cable television networks and complementary digital assets. The company needs a Software Engineer to contribute to the design and development of scalable, secure, and user-centric applications that power Versant’s next-generation platforms, delivering value quickly using SaaS and low-code/no-code platforms.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of backend development in languages such as Java, Node.js, Python, or Go.
  • Skilled in in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
  • Develop scalable and high performing microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues in distributed environments.
  • Exposure to GenAI tools, SaaS platforms, and low-code/no-code tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver full-stack solutions that solve real business problems.
  • Implement scalable, fault-tolerant microservices and modern front-end applications.
  • Use SaaS and low-code/no-code platforms where appropriate to accelerate delivery.
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and team knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Write secure, performant, and maintainable code.
  • Work closely with product and architecture teams to ensure alignment in technical direction and business priorities.

  • Background in media, entertainment business domain is a plus.
