MUFG Securities Americas Inc. is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join the Trade Processing team within the Front Office Solutions (FOS) group. This team is responsible for a suite of internally developed applications that support multiple trading desks in achieving their business objectives. The role aims to build impactful systems that enhance trading workflows and front-office performance by collaborating with front-office stakeholders, including traders and sales teams, to deliver high-impact solutions.
Requirements
- Full stack developer with 6-10 years of experience.
- Competence in Java development or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Strong experience with Spring / Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and message technologies such as JMS and MQ.
- Experience with Junit or other unit and integration testing frameworks.
- Proficiency in SQL / relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
- Familiarity with LINUX / Unix environments and scripting.
- Experience with front-end technologies (React, Javascript, HTML/CSS)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with front office users, traders, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, technical solutions.
- Deliver projects within an Agile development framework to develop high-quality, reliable software that meets the expectations of our business users.
- Promote secure, resilient development practices that minimize operational risk and meet MUFG security standards and policies.
- Maintain clear technical and procedural documentation to support internal audits, compliance reviews, and knowledge transfer.
- Provide hands-on production support for front office applications, including rapid incident response, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Lead and contribute to modernization initiatives, including migrating applications to cloud platforms and adopting cloud-native design patterns.

- The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day.
