Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center (TXCH) needs to enhance its digital presence by editing and updating its website using Drupal, writing compelling content, and supporting internal communications through the maintenance of SharePoint sites.
Requirements
- editing and updating our website using Drupal
- maintenance of ~50 SharePoint sites
- Supports software and server integration and adds new website features using front-end and back-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP).
- Familiarity with front-end and back-end web development tools and languages.
- Interest or experience in content creation, including writing and visual editing (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Exposure to data visualization or analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Optimizes website architecture to ensure system-wide changes are efficient and require minimal effort.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with the Manager and the other Software Engineer to ensure institutional resilience by maintaining, updating, and improving the Website (Drupal) and SharePoint sites, based on needs from Texas Children’s leadership, staff, and faculty.
- Maintains, extends, and integrates software products throughout the software's life cycle.
- Supports users by maintaining documentation and assistance tools.
- Assists SharePoint site co-owners (faculty and staff) with site maintenance, permissions, and enhancements under guidance from the Software Engineer.
- Integrates software and establishes connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers; assists with adding new functionality as needed.
- Supports software and server integration and adds new website features using front-end and back-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP).
- Manages content, permissions, and automated applications.
