Boeing is looking to solve real-world industry challenges and opportunities in the aerospace industry through innovative technologies, including Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering.

Requirements

  • Experience with programming languages and data tools such as Python, Matlab, C++, C or Java as well as SQL, Teradata, Tableau, Gephi or Airflow
  • Experience preparing data for, developing and evaluating learned models
  • Experience with Machine Learning development and deployment pipeline
  • Experience with Agile methodology and repositories, such as ADO, JIRA and Git
  • Knowledge of Generative AI, native mobile application (iOS/Android), and web-based solution development in an agile environment
  • Experience with software development, AI application, and machine learning
  • Familiarity with Boeing products and services

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with a mentor in the field of study to find solutions to real-world problems
  • Participate in the research and development as well as the rapid prototyping of advanced computing technologies for aerospace products and services
  • Develop and evaluate learned models
  • Prepare data for machine learning development and deployment pipeline
  • Collaborate with teams to develop innovative solutions
  • Apply academic skills and expertise to help solve real-world industry challenges and opportunities
  • Contribute to the development of future aerospace solutions while improving the cycle time, cost, quality and performance of existing Boeing products and services

Other

  • Completed the first year of PhD studies by July 2026
  • Pursing a PhD in Data Science, Applied Math, Software Engineering or similar
  • Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2026
  • Ability to work onsite at one of the listed location options
  • U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required
