Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an Associate Software Engineering Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary group responsible for remote sensing payload processing, exploitation applications, and simulation tools.
Requirements
- Competence in C++, Python, and MATLAB.
- Experience with embedded software development, such as embedded Linux and device drivers.
- Familiarity with FPGA based development platforms and embedded system constraints.
- Hands on experience with Git, JIRA/Confluence, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI), Docker/Kubernetes orchestration.
Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Guide solution development across code bases. Champion best in class software practices.
- Engineering Management: Own staff planning, recruitment, onboarding, and career development for a team of software engineers, FPGA engineers, and algorithm specialists.
- Program Execution: Develop and maintain integrated project schedules and resource allocations. Track milestones, budgets, and risk registers; provide status reports to senior leadership and customers.

- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited university.
- Ability to obtain a SCI security clearance.
