Collins Aerospace Avionics Platform Software Department (AvPSW) is looking for talented student engineers to create high quality products to meet safety and airworthiness standards that make flight possible.
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- Knowledge of software development, test, implementation and integration activities.
- Familiarity with platform software (operating systems, device drivers, board support packages, supporting tools).
- Understanding of hardware and software standards.
Responsibilities
- Assists in conducting engineering processes and standard work, including verification and qualification procedures.
- Creates, compiles and consolidates testing on diagnostic systems containing logical and mathematical solutions.
- Assists in conducting disciplinary research on one or more stages of the equipment design phase to develop design options and recommendations.
- Learns hardware and software standards and ensures work product adheres to these standards and business objectives of the organization are met.

- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- Must be available for a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session that will run from June-December 2026.
- Must be willing to take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity.
- Must be eligible for relocation.
