Bose is looking for students to join their Co-Op Program to work on audio architecture and systems for rapid prototyping of consumer and Automotive sound systems. The role involves working on an audio tuning tool related to an electrical engineering project, focusing on development equipment for acoustic research.
Requirements
- Software development in C and preferably Python
- Object-oriented software design and programming skills using C/C++
- Some understanding of and/or experience with embedded processors
- Linux operating systems and/or embedded Linux and kernel driver frameworks
- Source code management (Git and GitHub)
- Can read and understand electronic schematics
- Experience with basic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, multi-meters, etc.)
Responsibilities
- working on aspects of Bose consumer and Automotive sound systems for rapid prototyping purposes
- working on an audio tuning tool related to an electrical engineering project
- work on the design of microcontroller firmware targeted for these tools
- be exposed to architecture development
- may develop network interface support software for Ethernet interface or Analog Devices A2B networks
Other
- Pursuing a BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent, MS degree preferred
- Good communication skills
- Decent mathematical modeling skills and intuition
- Ability to manage workload across multiple projects with varying priorities
- Creative and inquisitive approach to problem solving
