Siemens Healthineers is looking to hire a Software Engineering Co-op to assist in the development of embedded systems for molecular imaging cameras, focusing on motion control and detector subsystems. This role aims to build the student's skill set and gain hands-on experience in a healthcare technology environment.

Responsibilities
- May be involved in all aspects of embedded systems development, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing and documentation of the motion control and detector subsystems for molecular imaging cameras.
- Includes safety critical motions, and mitigations to prevent accidents across multiple axes of motion
- Will be expected to write and test embedded software, execute written test procedures, document results, and to recognize/isolate system anomalies.
- Tasks include writing code (C/C++) for embedded systems, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation of results.
- Coop will work with firmware and electrical engineers for the motion control and detector subsystems, and assist with development and test.
- Provide support for system host emulator, as well as assist in the loading of software in the lab.
- Coop will also help address issues arising from the Defect Handling Board, and may be asked to help out with certain administrative tasks.

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, majoring in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)
- Registered and eligible to participate in a co-op through your university
