RTX is looking for a Software Engineering Co-Op to design, develop, document, test, and/or debug low-level software and middleware/application software for safety-critical commercial and military avionics display applications.
Requirements
- Embedded C++ or Platform Level Software Experience.
- Familiarity with RTOS environments and low-level software integration.
- Experience with graphics APIs such as OpenGL, Vulkan, or A661.
Responsibilities
- You will design, develop, document, test, and/or debug low-level software utilizing SoC peripherals to perform data exchange with discrete hardware.
- You will design, develop, document, test, and/or debug middleware and application software containing logical and mathematical algorithms.
- You will coordinate with other project team members in the planning, design, development, and utilization of display systems to ensure smooth operations on software engineering activities.
- You will ensure compliance with program and product requirements and certification processes.
Other
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
