REDCOM Laboratories, Inc. is looking for a Software Engineering Co-Op to help develop and support applications that provide secure real-time voice, video, and chat communication capabilities for their Sigma software platform.
Requirements
- Proficiency with one or more of the following technologies: PHP/SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
- Experience with UI/Front-End development
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- Basic knowledge of FreeBSD, Linux, or other Unix environments
- Basic knowledge of IP/Networking
Responsibilities
- implementing web applications and websites used to monitor and administer a system for secure real-time communications
- doing front-end and back-end development
- seamlessly integrate that front- and back-end functionality
- working in a mix of PHP and JavaScript
- work with other technologies including HTML5 and CSS
- be given the support that you need to learn and grow while working alongside our full-time engineers on the same projects and assignments
- use current software development practices such as unit testing, code reviews and continuous integration
Other
- Candidates must be in active pursuit of a BS or MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Preference is given to students who can commit to a double-block full time Co-Op position.
- Freshman students will be considered; however, preference is for Sophomore and Junior year students.
