The Leidos Innovations Center (LInC) is seeking software engineering interns to help solve relevant, complex problems for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) customers by performing software development and software engineering tasks.
Requirements
- Practical experience with programming and software engineering through coursework, lab projects, and previous internships
- Experience with Java, C/C++, and/or Python
- Prior experience with augmenting and exploiting Synthetic Aperture Radar sensor data products
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with software design, software architecture, data structures, and/or databases
- Experience with artificial intelligence/machine learning/deep learning
Responsibilities
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to develop solutions to challenging problems, and document results and findings
- Apply previously acquired skills and knowledge to software engineering and development tasks
- Effectively communicate with engineers and scientists regarding current tasks
Other
- Actively enrolled in a B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (minimum 3.0 GPA)
- Demonstrate problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills
- Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance, US Citizenship required
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic R&D environment
