RTX is looking to solve complex problems in the aerospace and defense industry by advancing software engineering capabilities for their galley insert products and aircraft galley chiller systems.
Requirements
- Self-Starter who loves writing code in Python and/or C languages.
- Ability to work as part of a team to analyze Hardware / Software test requirements / specifications to determine Hardware and Software requirements.
- Knowledge in developing solutions to test issues and develop productivity and efficiency enhancements.
- Some Exposure to Gitlab and hardware peripherals such as CANBUS, SPI, IIC etc.
Responsibilities
- You will build, integrate, and deploy various software projects ranging from Windows applications to embedded software.
- You will get exposure to engineering from a systems engineering perspective (big picture).
- You will work on projects and programs currently in progress at Collins Interior Systems, which allows the intern to apply knowledge that contributes to the overall business.
- You will have the opportunity to lead your own portion of a project.
- You will have collaboration opportunity with our international sites and across disciplines.
- You will be exposed to software lifecycle processes such as code reviews, software documentation and testing/validation.
- You will help us advance future product development and innovation of the galley Inserts and chiller product lines.

- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- Interact with test technicians, factory facilitators, other engineers, Quality Assurance and Reliability personnel.
