Badger Meter is looking to solve the problem of preserving and protecting the world's most precious resource, water, through innovative and trusted solutions, and is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to contribute to this mission.
Requirements
- Programming experience in Python, SQL, and/or other languages
- Understanding of version control (Git/GitHub)
- Intermediate computer/technical skills in Microsoft products
- Knowledgeable of software development concepts, process, and tools
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Experience with Jira, Git, AWS
- Exposure to JavaScript
Responsibilities
- Software development & design, testing, and implementation
- Maintaining and upgrading existing software applications
- Work on assigned tickets and submit pull requests for code review
- Update and maintain technical documentation
- Participate in team standups and technical sessions
- Collaborate across departments to learn and understand problems with software
- Write programs according to given specifications using tools like Jira, Git, AWS and languages primarily in Python, with exposure to JavaScript, SQL or other languages
Other
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Sophomore or Junior status (graduating in 2027 or 2028)
