MCG is looking to enhance the US healthcare system through evidence-based content and innovative products, and is seeking interns to contribute to this mission
Requirements
- Experience with .NET/C-Sharp (.NET Core preferred), or another object oriented language
- Experience using IDEs such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Rider, etc.
- Basic proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or equivalent, with a willingness to learn new systems and software
- Strong academic performance and foundational knowledge relevant to the department of interest
- Demonstrated interest in health tech, innovation, or problem-solving through coursework, extracurricular activities, or volunteer experience
Responsibilities
- Work effectively with team members and contribute to group discussions, brainstorming sessions, and project execution
- Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage workload efficiently over the 10-week internship
- Analyze information, ask insightful questions, and propose creative solutions to challenges within assigned projects
- Learn and apply new tools, technologies, and processes relevant to the department's work
- Assist in planning, developing, and executing 1-2 department-specific projects, delivering meaningful contributions to team goals
- Conduct basic research and gather relevant data to support decision-making and project outcomes
- Ensure accuracy in assigned tasks and deliverables, contributing to high-quality results
Other
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree, entering junior year or senior year
- Take initiative and use good judgment in all situations
- High sense of urgency; works efficiently and accurately; able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Mandatory attendance to the MCG Health Seattle office for New Hire Orientation and office-based events
- Occasional travel to participate in team or company-sponsored events for the purposes of connection and collaboration
