BAE Systems' Internal Tools team is looking for a software engineer to aid business objectives by developing innovative software tools to increase efficiency and productivity in the development of advanced military Global Positioning Systems (GPS) products.
Requirements
- Software coding/engineering experience
- Knowledgeable in Python and JavaScript coding languages
- Understanding of software development frameworks
- Understanding of Large Language Models (LLM)
- Enjoys debugging
Responsibilities
- Write custom software to bring enhancements to our current toolset
- Architect and develop brand new software solutions
- Design custom scripts and batch files that interact with current business systems
- Capture technical requirements for new products based on customer needs
- Design software test cases to ensure low rates of defect introduction
- Provide general support on products within the team’s management
- Participate in code reviews
Other
- Must have completed your Sophomore or Junior year of a four-year bachelor’s program in Computer Science or an Engineering field
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments with little oversight
- Willingness to try new things and learn quickly
- Ability to adhere to a hybrid schedule (on-site 60% of the time)
