The Walt Disney Company's Product Engineering team is looking to solve the business and technical problem of providing the best playback experience in the industry for streaming media content across its various brands (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, ABC). This involves developing and optimizing video streaming playback solutions on Apple devices to ensure a feature-rich and high-quality user experience.

Requirements

  • Willing to gain experience in Swift or SwiftUI development
  • Experience in Object Oriented Programming or some exposure to concepts
  • Mobile programming for iOS (Swift and Xcode, or Objective-C)

Responsibilities

  • Opportunity for someone to gain experience with Apple development – including hands-on Swift/SwiftUI development.
  • Hands-on development on a flagship product where you will directly influence a feature or have impact on quality of a feature-set.
  • Learn to troubleshoot and resolve issues, problems, and errors encountered across our various platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate in a small, productive development team as well as the larger engineering organization.
  • Participate in project estimation and resource planning.
  • Research and development for media playback experiences, integration, and testing.
  • Collaboration with team-members for new features which integrate with various Disney media services and back-ends.

  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Junior or Senior Preferred
  • Currently enrolled undergraduate student in an accredited college/university, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Fully available from M-F, 40 hours each week for the entire program duration: May/June - August/September 2026 (12 weeks)
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
