Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is seeking a Web Player Engineering Intern to support the Web Player Engineering team's drive towards the company's business objectives by contributing to the web player core platform and core and branded player UI code.
Requirements
- Knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following programming languages: JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Knowledge and/or experience interfacing with REST APIs
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as TypeScript, React, and Node
Responsibilities
- Participate in web player core platform architecture and design sessions.
- Work on implementing architectural designs for both core platform and player UI in support of meeting business objectives.
- Add minor player features or enhancements.
- Work with Design and Product to implement updated playback experiences across web brands and streaming apps.
- Triage and work towards resolution of production bugs in playback logic or UI controls.
- Write unit and integration tests.
- Investigate and document playback issues.

- Junior or Senior preferred
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student in an accredited college/university, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or related field.
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Be at least 18 years of age
