Nutanix is looking to hire interns to help enhance the speed, efficiency, and/or functionality of their products by solving complex engineering challenges using cutting-edge technology.
Requirements
- Projects in backend, data systems-centric programming.
- Preferably 2–3 systems academic courses, e.g., operating systems, parallel programming, distributed systems, DBMS, etc.
- Fluency in at least one of the following languages: Java, C++, Python, or Golang
Responsibilities
- Our interns work across a range of teams and projects spanning a variety of technology areas, including, but not limited to: Hypervisors built from open-source technologies
- Full multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud database engines
- Virtual machine dynamic scheduling
- Software-defined networks
- Distributed systems, distributed storage, and platform deployment
- Linux kernel development
- Performance and scale of storage systems, and more!
Other
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa status, such as F1, H1B, or TN.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- No professional experience, other than prior internships.
- A passion for problem-solving
- This is a 12-week paid internship working a minimum of 3 days per week from our San Jose, CA or Durham, NC office.
