Responsibilities
- Software Engineers at Siemens work on a broad portfolio of grid control and automation; as well as building automation and energy solutions.
- Learn about software development across our businesses in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Create new products and applications using the latest technologies and applying industry best-practices to drive the growth of Siemens as a Full-Stack Engineer, Back-End Developer, Front-End Developer, Mobile Developer or Project Lead.
- Working alongside senior software leaders and other program participants to deliver business value on tight deadlines.
- Working on a multi-functional team to create innovative solutions to problems cutting across multiple business segments.
Other
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Candidates must not graduate prior to September 2026.
- Prior experience as a Software Engineering Intern with Siemens Smart Building Products.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- Candidates must be available to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the 10-week internship.
- Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Chicago, IL or Buffalo Grove, IL as this role does not provide housing or relocation support.
- Strong interpersonal skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms.
- Leadership skills inside and outside the classroom.
