Hitachi Digital Services is looking to solve the problem of modernizing core banking systems for a regional banking client based in Texas, using Java, cloud, AI, and data engineering.
Requirements
- Java, Spring, Microservices
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- API design and distributed systems
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML and data engineering solutions into enterprise platforms.
- Strong understanding of security, regulatory, and compliance requirements in financial services.
- Event-driven architectures, low-latency systems, and modern security frameworks (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Lead and govern enterprise Java architecture and delivery, including microservices, APIs, cloud-native solutions, and data/AI integrations.
- Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for a 30+ member engineering team, ensuring best practices, regulatory compliance, and strong delivery controls.
- Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure systems tailored for financial services environments.
- Partner with client stakeholders to translate business and regulatory requirements into clear technical roadmaps and execution plans.
- Drive agile delivery, proactively managing risks, quality, security, and delivery timelines.
- Mentor and develop onshore and offshore team members, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Leverage emerging technologies in AI, data, and cloud to continuously enhance client solutions.
Other
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in Java development, architecture, and enterprise solution delivery.
- Proven leadership of large onshore/offshore teams (30+ engineers), ideally within banking or financial services.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Dallas, five days per week.
