Northrop Grumman is looking to solve the problem of leading multi-disciplinary teams to develop and deliver software solutions that meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
Requirements
- Experience leading software teams with at least 10 software engineers.
- Experience with software process improvement.
- Experience in one or more of the following software areas: Software Architecture, Cloud & Application, Embedded Software, Automated Software Testing, Software Integration with real-time hardware, DevOps.
- An active in-scope DoD Top Secret Clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR).
- Experience with incorporating Agile Methodologies.
- Experience with managing Embedded Software Teams and/or Application development teams.
Responsibilities
- Leads multi-disciplinary teams, primarily made up of software engineers, to develop and deliver solutions that meet quality, cost and schedule objectives.
- Sets team operating objectives in accordance with program objectives and provides guidance to team leads.
- Leverages gold standard measurements to assess health and quality of software across program(s).
- Communicates and collaborates with engineering and program leaders.
- Leads the effort to quantify staffing demand and communicate across multiple stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the ATDC Software Department Manager to ensure team is following best practices and standards to enable high quality and cost execution.
- Interacts with equivalent level managers and programs to maintain performance.
Other
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field AND 9 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in software development, OR a Master’s degree AND 7 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in software development.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- Must be able to rapidly assess and lend guidance to projects assigned to the organizational group as well as demonstrated mentoring and guidance to engineers.
