Nike is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead front-end and back-end engineering teams responsible for Nike's most important consumer-facing digital experiences, including Nike.com and its iOS and Android commerce applications.
Requirements
- Experience in leading front-end and back-end engineering teams
- Background in software engineering
- Background in Devops
- Proficiency in one or more software languages
- Background working with one or more of the following JavaScript, Node, React, Java, AWS, Jenkins, GitHub
- Strong understanding of systems and microservice architecture
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily and weekly ceremonies
- Regular check-ins with each engineer
- Representation of technology needs/interests in technical and non-technical venues alike
- Drive business value and technical output through efficient management of the team
- Knocking down blockers
- Partnering with cross functional partners
- Creating roadmaps
Other
- Reporting to a Director of Nike Technology
- Work closely with business functions, product managers, program managers, principal level engineers
- Serve as a key touch point between senior leadership and engineering teams
- Facilitating clear communication and alignment on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly priorities and technical initiatives
- Develop and grow each individual engineer
