Woundlocal is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to guide agile development processes, ensure successful project delivery, and drive continuous improvement for clinical and operational tools, including a patient intake system and reporting dashboards.
Requirements
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js
- Strong understanding of web security standards and best practices
- Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello)
Responsibilities
- oversee code quality through frequent reviews
- enforce testing best practices
- ensure scalable, maintainable solutions
- work closely with internal development teams as well as external vendors and partner software teams to align on architecture, integration standards, and project delivery timelines
- Conduct frequent code reviews and implement best practices for software development testing
- Assist the Product Owner in managing the product backlog and ensuring clarity on user stories
- Identify and resolve impediments that may obstruct the team's workflow

- Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, specifically Scrum
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer with a strong portfolio of projects
- Experience managing direct reports
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address challenges proactively
