Boeing is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team in updating and redesigning test equipment software to support increasing PAC3 program capacity, ensuring product performance and quality.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing or leading a team in the software development discipline
- 3+ years of experience with C/C++ or Python coding
- Experience on a missile defense program
- Experience with modeling and simulation software development
- Experience with DevSecOps
- Experience with GitLab
- 1+ year of Labview experience and process automation
Responsibilities
- managing a team of engineers updating or creating TE or production automation software
- guiding employees in developing their skills, and employing new technologies such as pipelined build processes, advancing analysis tools, object-oriented architectures, networked lean factory flow processes, and continuous improvement
- assisting with migration toward object-oriented solutions, pipelined build processes (DevSecOps), simulation in the loop testing, and process automation
- seeking opportunities to improve SW development timelines, and to increase production task automation
- The TE software will be used on automated test equipment to assess product performance and quality.
- The analog and power TE SW manager will be responsible for cost and schedule performance of the software team in achieving program goals.
