Requirements
- 8+ years of knowledge of software development
- Technical background in MongoDB & Big Query (or other noSQL technology)
- Technical background in Software Dev, ideally web development (javascript/java springboot)
- Technical background in cloud deployment/CI/CD technologies (GCP, Jenkins, Tekton, etc)
Responsibilities
- ongoing development, deployment, and management of several IT products built on top of the Ford IIoT Platform
- expanding the current Zone Control Center product suite to develop a Department, Plant and Business level equivalent
- using some of the latest infrastructure and development toolkits to deliver best-in-class functionality to plant floor users
- Delivery of product functionality expansions and deployments to additional facilities worldwide
- Manage engagement with international manufacturing sites as product footprint expands globally
- Manage product metrics for consumption by both IT management and Manufacturing management as means to assess value
- Maintain steady rolling backlog of product features in conjunction with business partners
Other
- Bachelors Degree in computer science or related manufacturing field, Masters Degree preferred
- 2+ years of people leadership experience in application development
- Understanding of Agile methods & best practices
- Data-driven mindset for decision-making and prioritization
- Internal & external management skillset for managing cross-team capabilities
- Clear communication style both laterally to business partners as well as upwards to management
- Ability to develop deep understanding of product functionality to provide high-level guidance to development teams
- Ability to travel occasionally (~1-2 monthly) to SE Michigan Ford Manufacturing facilities to meet with plant personnel & end users
