SumUp is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for their Instore Experience and Integrations Team to lead a group of software engineers and partner with stakeholders to deliver products worldwide, focusing on the customer-facing display that powers thousands of merchants and supports a loyalty experience across 37 countries.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects in a regulated environment.
- EMV / PCI-DSS, ISO 8583, ACH, SEPA, SWIFT or FedNow protocol expertise.
- Product experience that spans Loyalty, POS and Payments.
- Familiarity with GDPR, TCPA and CASL as they relate to loyalty data and marketing communications.
- work on EMV kernels, payment certifications and large-scale micro-services that process billions in transactions annually.
Responsibilities
- Set and communicate the strategic direction for both the US Instore and Integrations domains, providing technical and people leadership
- Own the full CFD and Integrations stack end-to-end
- Coach, mentor and grow engineers while fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.
- Partner with Product & Design peers to scope work, remove blockers, and prioritise iterations to manage delivery for your team.
- Leads in defining, tracking and delivering team commitments (such as OKRs).
- Ensures domain knowledge is accessible, discoverable, and used across the organisation.
