Boeing Technology Innovation (BTI) Disruptive Computing & Networking (DC&N) software capability is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a world-class software team building the next generation of disruptive aerospace, satellite, and autonomous systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years designing and developing software for real-time embedded or non-real-time systems.
- 5+ years with languages such as Python, Java, C, C++, and MATLAB.
- 5+ years working across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- 3+ years leading/managing teams or projects.
- 3+ years using Agile development practices.
- 3+ years automating builds, unit/integration tests, deployments, and installs using DevOps tool chains (GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, etc.).
- Experience building automated test frameworks and simulation frameworks for real-time systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and grow a diverse software team (~20 engineers) working on embedded/real-time and non-real-time applications.
- Provide continuous mentoring, technical coaching, and formal development plans for your team.
- Define and enforce software engineering best practices aligned with enterprise standards.
- Oversee execution of software development across projects—ensuring technical integrity, engineering excellence, and timely delivery.
- Create and execute integrated technical plans, policies, and procedures; bring strong operational discipline to program execution.
- Collaborate with other technology leaders to align roadmaps, optimize resources, and maximize innovation.
- Shape concept, architecture, requirements, and development for future systems that span Commercial Airplanes, Defense, Space & Security, and Global Services.

- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph is a plus.
