CSC Generation (CSC) is an AI-enabled multi-brand platform that acquires and transforms retailers into profitable, digital-first, consumer-centric businesses. CSC's retail platform is purpose built around its core M&A strategy and drives alpha by encoding revenue growth, unit margin management, and other expert-level retail practices into automation and AI. CSC owns and operates more than 10 retail, eCommerce, and wholesale brands, including Sur La Table, Backcountry, and One Kings Lane. The Software Engineering Manager will take a hands-on role to design technical approaches, contribute as an individual, and help build our team(s).
Requirements
- Proficiency in modern frameworks and languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, or Django
- Interest in remaining at least 50% hands-on while driving broader technical strategy
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical owner for your domain or service within our Retail Service Cloud
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of the technical roadmap — from building new features to scaling the platform
- Identify and resolve complex technical challenges while ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability
- Build and mentor a team of developers, driving productivity, growth, and engineering excellence
- Modernize and optimize our technology stack by replacing legacy code and services
- Architect and implement frameworks that power upcoming projects
- Plan and manage sprints, triage tickets, and contribute to product roadmap discussions
