Medtronic is looking to solve the problem of managing diabetes through the development of mobile applications, and is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for Diabetes Mobile Apps to lead the team in designing and developing these applications.
Requirements
- Experience in managing and developing complex mobile applications in Flutter (iOS or Android)
- Knowledge of mobile application development using languages such as Kotlin, Swift, Objective C and Flutter
- Knowledge of mobile application security (Certificate pinning, TLS, SSO, etc.)
- Good understanding and experience working with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
- Experience working in a regulated industry
- Experience creating and maintaining documentation for software systems such as design documents, class diagrams, and sequence diagrams
- Experience coordinating with remote teams
Responsibilities
- Experience in managing and developing complex mobile applications in Flutter (iOS or Android)
- Lead and manage a team of employees that are well versed in mobile app development using languages such as Kotlin, Swift, Objective C and Flutter
- Ability to collaborate with System and software architects to interpret, analyze product needs and guide the team through implementation
- Ability to coach developers on software development and provide constructive feedback to improve design and implementation
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills can identify root cause of complex problems and provide solutions
- Provide feedback to cross functional teams such as Systems Engineering, Human factors, Clinical, and verification teams to drive quality products
- Work closely with quality and systems teams to ensure the product quality
Other
- Bachelors degree and minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience
- Strong relationship skills are a must, as is excellent verbal and written communication
- Self-motivated with great written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in agile/scrum environment
- Must be able to work onsite (hybrid, 3 days per week onsite) in Northridge, CA or San Diego, CA
