Apple is looking to build the most personalized intelligence on the planet and needs a software manager to lead the UI team to define the user experience of a personalized OS
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of Objective-C, C, or Swift
- Experience building personalized features
- Experience designing or implementing transparency features for AI systems
- Strong track record of shipping compelling UI features, plus experience with design and prototyping
- At least 2 years of experience managing software engineering teams and/or projects
- Experience with machine learning
- Experience with privacy engineering
Responsibilities
- hire, mentor, and lead a diverse team responsible for defining and building personalized Apple Intelligence experiences
- create UI frameworks and components that seamlessly integrate intelligence into our products
- code alongside your team, building prototypes, shipping features, and establishing best practices for personalized experiences that respect user agency and privacy
- balance technical innovation with thoughtful user experience to ensure Apple Intelligence adapts to people's needs while remaining transparent about its reasoning and suggestions
- design and implement experiences that are intuitive, transparent, and respectful of user control and privacy
- work across Apple to design and implement experiences
- establish best practices for personalized experiences
Other
- BS in Computer Science or related field and 8 years practical experience in software engineering
- MS in Computer Science or related field (Preferred)
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across disciplines
- Track record of hiring and developing engineering talent
- 2 years of experience managing software engineering teams and/or projects
