Meta's Augmented Reality AI Org is seeking a technical leader to build the core AI technology powering next-generation AI experiences on smart devices like Meta's Smart Glasses, AR Glasses, and Quest devices, aiming to create a human-like AI assistant that can perceive and interact with the user's environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands on experience in large language model, NLP, and/or multimodal modeling, and shipping large-scale AI solutions to end users
- 3+ years of hands on supporting and leading teams of AI/ML engineers
- Experience in developing large-scale AI services
- Proven expertise in deep learning, artificial intelligence, and their practical applications in multimodal systems
- Experience and knowledge of ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.
- Experience and knowledge of multi-modal modeling, NLP and computer vision
Responsibilities
- Drive execution of developing models and systems that are crucial to the end user experience
- Support and grow a team of AI and CV experts
- Develop technical vision, long-term strategy and set direction for the team and the organization
- Present the team's work and plans in cross-company executive forums
- Communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with xfn partners and peer teams to facilitate large-scale projects
Other
- Experience and track of record in landing large product impacts in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with cross functional collaboration with product and platform teams, as well as non-engineering functions
- Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance management
