Wells Fargo is seeking a Finance Technology Operations and Application Manager to oversee a team responsible for operational integrity, compliance, and strategic execution of liquidity-related technology applications, ensuring production stability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the liquidity technology landscape.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of Leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Financial Services, specifically Liquidity Management and FR 2052a regulatory reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, Informatica, SSIS, Autosys, Python, PySpark, S3.
  • Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, Jira Service Desk, AppDynamics, Splunk, and OpenShift.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with cloud readiness, application modernization and data strategy

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the escalation point for production data quality issues impacting liquidity reporting. Partner with SMEs and support teams to triage, resolve, and prevent recurring data defects. Ensure timely remediation aligned with regulatory expectations (e.g., FR 2052a).
  • Oversee adherence to enterprise compliance standards, coordinate audit support and policy issue remediation efforts.
  • Lead strategic initiatives such as application modernization, cloud readiness, and infrastructure migrations. Collaborate with architects and engineers to align with domain architecture and enterprise data strategy. Drive resolution of technology roadblocks and ensure delivery of high-quality capabilities.
  • Manage application environments across development, testing, and production. Ensure stability, performance tuning, and optimization of liquidity platforms. Support infrastructure validation and performance testing for upgrades and migrations.
  • Coordinate release planning and execution across liquidity applications. Ensure non-functional requirements are met with each release. Partner with product managers and scrum teams to align release timelines with business priorities.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of individual contributor engineer roles with low to moderate complexity and less experienced managers who are responsible for building high quality capabilities with modern technology
  • Function as the technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning
