Applied Intuition is looking to solve the problem of accelerating the global adoption of safe, AI-driven machines by developing the Vehicle OS, Self-Driving System, and toolchain to help customers build intelligent vehicles and shorten time to market.
Requirements
- Significant experience in embedded firmware or low-level RTOS development.
- Hands-on background with ADAS, Linux Kernel, QNX, and sensor integration.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ with expertise in hardware/software co-design.
- Track record of code reviews and technical leadership; direct coding experience is a strong plus
- Experience in software project management and technical documentation.
- Experience with cloud-connected vehicle platforms, SDV architectures, and AI-driven automotive applications.
- Knowledge of functional safety (ASIL levels), cybersecurity (ISO 21434), and AUTOSAR tooling (DaVinci, Tresos, Vector, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team developing core firmware solutions for Vehicle OS.
- Drive technical execution, architecture, and hands-on development of embedded systems, including Linux, QNX, and hardware abstraction.
- Guide the integration of sensors and hardware with real-time firmware and board support packages.
- Partner with product, hardware, and software teams to deliver reliable, production-grade automotive software.
- Execute firmware and low-level software code reviews and provide technical leadership.
- Set a compelling roadmap for firmware innovation, balancing speed, technical quality, and team productivity.
- Contribute to recruiting efforts, team building, and ongoing mentoring.
Other
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, preferably from top programs (Stanford, Berkeley, CMU, Waterloo, or similar).
- Ability to work in-office 5 days a week, with occasional remote work allowed.
- Must be able to manage schedules responsibly and accommodate family commitments.
- Experience in technical sales support or application engineering for embedded software products.
- Ability to abide by the requirements of 41 CFR 60-1.4(a), 41 CFR 60-300.5(a) and 41 CFR 60-741.5(a) and other federal regulations
