The Home Infrastructure team needs a Software Engineering Manager to create the building blocks that will enable the Home organization to manage data with care.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Javascript).
- 3 years of experience with embedded operating systems.
- Experience with technical infrastructure.
- Experience with policy compliance.
- Experience in back-end coding languages like GOLang, Rust, or Java.
- Experience in Machine Learning (ML) model coding languages (e.g., Python).
- Experience with distributed infrastructure and working across multiple systems.
Responsibilities
- Set and communicate team priorities that support the organization's goals.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and plan for infrastructure policy building blocks to be used by all home products to build policy compliant experiences.
- Lead the team in scaling the current approaches to policy to the entire Home organization.
- Manage a Software Engineering team in Policy Engineering.
- Set expectations with a person based on their level and role and aligned to the organization's goals.
- Meet with people to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.
Other
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (preferred).
- 3 years of experience working in a matrixed organization (preferred).
