The CloudOS Engineering team is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee software development and release quality for Private cloud compute, a critical component for Apple Intelligence. The role involves driving high-priority releases, achieving critical software milestones, and providing insights into build quality to executive teams.
Requirements
- Expertise and proficiency in tools/framework development and using Python, C, C++, Objective-C, or Swift
- Experience with designs that are secure and private first
- Experience with developing and operating large scale distributed systems
Responsibilities
- oversee software development and the cloudOS release quality team for Private cloud compute
- participating in high-priority releases
- driving critical software milestones for the program
- providing insights into build quality to executive teams
- lead the quality efforts for OS delivery for Private cloud compute
- collaborating with cross-functional teams on larger initiatives
- drive both individual product enhancements and comprehensive system validation activities

- 5+ years of proven excellence in Engineering management
- 5+ years leading a development or qualification teams
- Sense of urgency and flexibility is key to success in this position
- Ability to listen to others, facilitate discussions, and drive results
- Ability to work in dynamic environment with shifting priorities and schedules
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- BS or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Self-directed: the ability to drive a project from a simple idea to production
- Passion for product ownership and track record of product development and large scale frame working and automation development
- Able to coordinate the efforts of multiple teams
