Apple is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team building instructional experiences and Tips applications for Apple products, aiming to enhance user engagement and product discovery across the Apple ecosystem.
Requirements
- building and delivering customer-facing applications and/or frameworks using Objective-C and/or Swift
- scoping, scheduling, and resourcing multiple complex projects alongside cross-functional partners, ensuring alignment and timely delivery
- Demonstrated ability to bring a customer experience focused mindset to software development
- Experience identifying high-impact use cases and applying machine learning technologies to deliver scalable, customer-facing solutions
- Proven track record of driving quality engineering and automation best practices across an engineering team
Responsibilities
- building applications, frameworks, and system-level experiences for hundreds of millions of users across the Apple ecosystem
- building our Tips applications and other instructional experiences for all of Apple's platforms
- planning and driving execution of multiple simultaneous engineering initiatives
- building and delivering customer-facing applications and/or frameworks using Objective-C and/or Swift
- scoping, scheduling, and resourcing multiple complex projects alongside cross-functional partners, ensuring alignment and timely delivery
- bringing a customer experience focused mindset to software development
- applying machine learning technologies to deliver scalable, customer-facing solutions
Other
- Experience leading a team. Ability to provide guidance, direction, and supervise the day-to-day function of a team of Software Engineers.
- 7 or more years of professional work experience in software engineering
- Outstanding communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal), including the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- 5 or more years working in an engineering management capacity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent context switching.
