Solipsys Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raytheon Technologies (RTX), is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to work on software-intense distributed systems, specifically in the development of integrated Network Centric Warfare solutions for the Domestic and International DoD.
Requirements
- 8 years experience with C++ and/or Java.
- Strong computer science fundamentals: such as data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, information retrieval.
- Supporting the research and application of new CI/CD solutions, tools, and capabilities, and development of migration strategies for effective adoption
- Standardize and document DevOps processes and train team members.
- Supporting the maintenance and enhancement of the software development pipeline and extending the pipeline to include automated deployment and test (CI/CD).
- Experience developing, assessing and validating complex mathematical solutions such as track filters, track correlation algorithms, and weapon engagement algorithms, for sensors and/or C2 programs.
- Experience with managing cyber security processes including vulnerability assessments
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate leadership skills with ability to coordinate the activities of multiple engineers working on a wide range of programs, ensuring successful technical execution and delivery of solutions for the customer.
- Proactive leadership skills – proven ability to recognize issues early and to lead and motivate teams by making smaller, decisive corrections to avoid larger problems.
- Full life cycle development including software requirements, design, development, debug & test in various software languages such as C++ &/or JAVA.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies to increase productivity and support strategic product development
- Empower engineering staff to excel by ensuring proper training, removing barriers, providing constructive feedback, as well as ensuring proper execution of organizational and department policies and procedures.
- Support proposal development, including technical solution, price, and schedule content.
- Ability to travel- up to 25%
Other
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
