The partner company of Jobgether is looking to solve the problem of leading a talented software engineering team across multiple locations in the United States, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and at the highest quality.

Requirements

  • Expertise in software development lifecycle (SDLC, CI/CD, SecDevOps) and associated toolchains.
  • Hands-on experience leading teams in software development and embedded system design.
  • 7+ years of experience in software and hardware engineering roles, preferably in aerospace, industrial automation, or robotics.
  • 5+ years in progressively responsible software engineering leadership positions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing project risk, including scope creep and technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the software engineering team across multiple offices, ensuring alignment with project goals and technical standards.
  • Mentor engineers, set clear performance expectations, and support professional development.
  • Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and execution for software and embedded systems projects.
  • Establish and maintain software development processes, tools, and best practices to drive efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve team capabilities, processes, and project outcomes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define technical scope, set priorities, and implement scalable software solutions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software and hardware engineering roles, preferably in aerospace, industrial automation, or robotics.
  • 5+ years in progressively responsible software engineering leadership positions.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.
