The North American Public Safety Regional Development Team designs, develops, customizes, and implements software interfaces and integrations on a product and project basis. This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, delivery and support of software development tasks as part of the larger Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and/or Law Enforcement Records Management (RMS) deployment projects.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the Software Development Project Lifecycle (SDPL)
- Ability to use tools such as: Confluence and Microsoft Office
- Experience using workflow automations to increase productivity
- Experience managing work in Microsoft Azure DevOps (certifications preferred)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Services is a plus
Responsibilities
- Oversee the resource assignment, project budget and delivery timelines for the team and ensure alignment with the larger CAD and RMS deployments
- Provide routine progress updates on project deliverables to stakeholders
- Use project management tools to track progress, risks, budget, delivery timelines, support issues and resource assignments
- Coordinate tasks with dependent groups (such as implementation, global development organizations, cloud operations, etc.)
- Coordinate activities with partner vendors and other 3rd parties as appropriate
Other
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, Software Engineering or other related field or commensurate, documented experience in a role with similar responsibilities
- 5+ years' experience in project management
- Excellent communication, organization and critical thinking skills
- Prior Experience in public safety is a plus
- PMP Professional certification is a plus
