MKS Instruments is looking to solve problems related to the design, development, and implementation of cost-effective production automation software for products used in the semiconductor and thin film markets.
Requirements
- Knowledge of .NET (either VB.NET or C)
- Familiarity with Python
- Ability to solve complex problems relating to automation and software development
Responsibilities
- Assisting in maintaining existing automation platforms (in terms of functionality, reliability and performance)
- Supporting new automation development initiatives and other critical projects
- Designing and developing our internal .NET framework for production automation and backend management
- Collaborating with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams on design, development and deployment of new production software
- Performing root cause analysis on software failures, lead corrective action efforts and communicate results

- 6-month co-op assignment
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to work in an internationally-based, team oriented environment
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant majors
- U.S. persons may be required for positions requiring access to controlled goods and technologies subject to ITAR or EAR.
