Lockheed Martin Aeronautics needs a Senior Software Engineer for the Virtual Prototyping group to develop advanced visualization, simulation, and digital-twin technologies, transforming complex systems into interactive 3D, AR/VR, and web-based experiences to improve decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proficiency with JavaScript or TypeScript, including modern frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, or similar).
- Experience with real-time 3D development using Unity, Unreal, or WebGL.
- Experience building interactive web applications that integrate 3D content or simulation data.
- Familiarity with WebGL, Three.js, or similar visualization libraries.
- Experience with C++, C-Sharp, or Python for backend or simulation integration.
- Exposure to mixed reality (AR/VR), spatial computing, or digital twin applications.
- Knowledge of containerization and deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Creating high-performance real‑time 3D applications and web visualization tools using modern frameworks (Unity, Unreal, WebGL, etc.).
- Developing front‑end and back‑end components with JavaScript/TypeScript, C-Sharp, C++, Python, and related technologies.
- Integrating and extending game‑engine pipelines to support data‑driven, networked virtual‑prototyping and digital‑twin experiences.
- Collaborating with distributed engineers, designers, and domain experts on software architecture, UI/UX design, testing, and continuous delivery.

- You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

- Ability to learn new tools, technologies, and domains quickly.
- Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
- 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
