The company is seeking a skilled and dependable Network Administrator to lead a four-member team and oversee the daily operation and maintenance of their IT infrastructure, ensuring network uptime, system security, support coverage, nightly backups, and hardware/software purchasing.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments.
- Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
- Experience managing SQL Server and VMware vSphere/ESXi environments.
- In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, and firewall configurations.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in network or systems administration within a Microsoft-based environment.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills in IT operations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across teams and departments.
Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous network uptime and system performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and related network services.
- Manage and maintain VMware virtual infrastructure and Windows Server environments, including Microsoft Exchange, Sharepoint and SCCM.
- Oversee SQL Server performance, backups, and data security.
- Monitor and verify nightly backups for all critical systems, ensuring data integrity and recoverability.
- Maintain and monitor servers, firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless access points to ensure security and optimal performance.
- Evaluate, recommend, and manage purchasing of network hardware, software, and IT supplies within approved budgets.
