The Hiller Companies, LLC is looking to implement and optimize assigned business software systems to enhance efficiency and functionality, safeguard lives and property, and ensure the highest standard of safety and innovation in fire protection services.
Requirements
- 1+ experience as a Software Implementation Specialist, Business Applications Specialist or similar role, preferably in the service industry or related domain.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand and document business requirements effectively.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Interest in assigned business software solutions and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior team members, developers, end users and other teams to design and implement solutions that align with the identified business requirements and ensure seamless project execution.
- Contribute to the configuration and customization of the software to meet specific business needs.
- Assist in developing and executing test plans to validate the software's functionality, accuracy and performance.
- Help identify and resolve any defects or issues found during testing, working closely with the development team to address them.
- Assist in maintaining comprehensive documentation related to system functionalities, processes, and configurations.
- Participate in monitoring the performance of the software system, identifying potential enhancements and optimizations.
- Provide Tier II support to end-users by addressing their queries and assisting with issue resolution to ensure efficient software usage.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs, objectives, and pain points related to the assigned business software.
- Assist in analyzing existing processes, workflows, and data structures to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Contribute to the definition of clear and concise business requirements for the software, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Assist in project planning, execution, and monitoring of software-related projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Support the creation of training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure a smooth transition to the assigned software system.
- Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at various levels and convey complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and engage in problem-solving activities, which may involve prolonged mental focus and attention to detail.
- 50% travel required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related preferred.
