Leidos Defense Systems Sensor Innovation Portfolio is seeking a Software Integration Branch Manager to lead the team and provide individual software development contributions, ensuring compliance with internal software quality policy and supporting corporate audits.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of C++ and object-oriented design principles
- Strong software engineering background with experience in defining and enforcing engineering best practices, including: configuration management, coding standards, code reviews, testability, design for reusability
- Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining APIs and network ICDs for custom hardware electronics
- Basic understanding of radar systems and/or integrated sensor systems
- Experience supporting system integration and test activities to support verification of system level requirements
- Experience leading and conducting technical design reviews and presenting technical reports and materials to customer teams
- Demonstrated experience working with a team of talented technical employees to develop and integrate software solutions into dedicated computer hardware
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance to internal software quality policy, processes, and procedures as well as support corporate audits
- Closely work with a team of sub-system software leads to coordinating software development and integration tasking priorities to ensure system success
- Lead the overall software development for multiple HIL (Hardware Integration Labs) and SILs (Software Integration Labs) that will be used internally and by the customer to develop and test software payloads before deploying the sensor system
- Manage and oversee the development of system software documentation and overall software deployment strategy to dedicated hardware
- Participate and contribute to on-going software design discussions
- Lead weekly software tag up discussions with the integrated software team
- Provide weekly status updates to internal leadership and customer leadership

- Must be a US citizen, possess a DoD Secret clearance and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance
- Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama, AL, area
- Bachelor degree from an accredited university plus 12-15 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree from an accredited university plus 10-13 years of relevant experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal leadership and customer leadership
- Ability to work in a team environment and lead a team of technical employees
