At Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B), the business problem is to integrate software for the P-8A Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) Training Systems, which consists of a weapons trainer simulator, electronic classroom for desktop instruction, and a mission planning station.
Requirements
- DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
- 2+ years of experience with Linux Operating Systems.
- 3+ years of experience and competency in troubleshooting, analysis and problem-solving strategies involving software integration and testing.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as: Bash, PowerShell, Python.
- Experience working with Agile tools (Jira).
- Experience with Windows and Linux virtual machines.
- Knowledge of cyber security requirements and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Maintain P-8A AAS training devices operational.
- Integration of locally developed software into the training devices.
- Integration and troubleshooting of software from outside entities, requiring external support for configuration and troubleshooting.
- Install and configure Windows and Linux virtual machines to meet cyber security requirements; install and test monthly patches on the operating systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems to find root cause and collaborate with the functional teams to find resolutions.
- Perform scheduled lab maintenance operations and cyber continuous monitoring activities in the labs.
- Integration, configuration, and verification of map and radar databases.

- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
