Apple is looking to deliver a world-class, fully localized software experience across all OS platforms and applications, and needs a leader to guide the Software Localization Project Management team to achieve this goal.
Requirements
- Solid technical understanding of software product development
- Strong knowledge of internationalization, localization, and translation management systems
- Experience solving complex problems through software tools and processes
- Demonstrated ability to scale localization processes, tools, and teams to support global product launches
- Extensive experience in software project management, ideally with global software releases
- Highly motivated, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
- Proven ability to manage and deliver complex software projects at scale
Responsibilities
- Lead a diverse team of project managers responsible for localizing Apple software releases
- Own the overall localization quality of each release and act as a champion for international issues
- Drive the prioritization and resolution of localizability issues across software engineering
- Define and drive localization process and tool improvements that increase quality, improve turnaround times, and reduce costs
- Scale localization systems and workflows to support global product launches at Apple’s pace and scale
- Partner with teams around the world to schedule engineering, translation, and QA resources aligned with product schedules
- Evangelize localization considerations across the company to ensure products are designed with international customers in mind
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
